The elementary tea master course consists of six consecutive two-hour lessons, teaches the fundamental skills required to become a tea master. The curriculum covers essential topics such as tea etiquette, attire guidelines, tasting techniques, brewing methods for different tea wares, performance styles, and skills for enhancing the flavor of tea.

The course also introduces the origins and brief history of tea, classifications and production methods of the six major tea types, tea storage requirements, basic understanding of brewing water use, and the philosophies of tea culture and tea ceremony.

Each session is divided into three parts:
1. Theory – A foundational understanding of tea-related concepts.
2. Tea Tasting and the Six Major Tea Types – A practical introduction to diverse teas.
3. Hands-On Practice – Engaging in practical exercises to solidify skills.
This comprehensive, multi-faceted approach ensures a solid grounding in the art of tea.

  • Please ensure that all registration information is accurate before booking.
  • Once registered, class dates and times cannot be changed. If you need to take leave, you may reschedule up to two makeup sessions.
  • Beginner Tea Artisan Certification Exam: To obtain a certificate, an additional exam fee of $1,500 is required. Successful candidates in both theory and practical assessments will receive the “Beginner Tea Artisan Certificate” issued by the Tea Culture International Exchange Association.
  • Upon course completion, you may proceed to the Intermediate or Advanced Tea Artisan courses.
  • During classes and activities, photography, videography, or audio recording may occur. These materials will be used for event reviews, promotional purposes, or other applications. If you do not consent, please inform the staff immediately.
  • Once your participation is confirmed, no refund requests will be accepted.
  • After the course begins, only the enrolled student is permitted to attend the classes; substitutions are not allowed.
  • Yú teahouse reserves the right to amend the course terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In case of disputes, Yú teahouse retains the final decision-making authority.
